WHY SALEMA?
The Western Algarve, Portugal...an area of pure beauty, surrounded by gently undulating countryside, fringed by a coastline of secluded coves, uncrowded beaches and picturesque fishing villages. This is one of the very last areas of southern Europe to remain unspoilt by over-development. A place that time forgot.

The village of SALEMA lies 12 km west of Lagos, within the National Park (a designated Area of Natural Beauty).
It's undoubtedly one of the most charming villages on the Algarve; narrow cobbled streets wind past fisherman's cottages, interspersed with an array of traditional restaurants and bars which come to life in summer.
The beach is to die for - a long stretch of fine sand in a sheltered bay. Take an early morning stroll along the shore and you'll meet the fishermen as they return with your dinner!
There are 2 small food stores, various shops and a large supermarket (Ecomarche) a short drive away.
The nearby town of Lagos (12km) has everything else you could possibly need.
What's more, just 4 kms north of Salema is the renowned PARQUE DA FLORESTA GOLF & HEALTH SPA.
